Cahir downhill and iCAN
For the second running of the Mooreabbey Milers organised Cahir downhill half marathon it is very exciting for iCAN to be chosen again as the charity to benefit from this great event. This unique point to point half marathon is a great event for the serious runner or the casual athlete with its fairly straight route and of course it is downhill.
Great support in the Cahir community
Cahir and the surrounding areas have been great supporters of iCAN ever since the charity was founded just under three years ago and again this year has been no exception. main sponsors for the event this year is Cahir Credit Union who are a bedrock of support for local events. Of course without the organising skills of the dedicated people at Mooreabbey Milers this race would never have come to fruition and last years event was a credit to them, hard to believe it was their first half marathon given how professional the whole day was. We are really looking forward to this as it also gives great exposure and helps raise much needed awareness of juvenile arthritis and the work iCAN are doing.
