What started out as a tiny acorn of an idea certainly grew into a mighty oak of an event with the Croghan Hill Challenge in County Offaly. The brainchild of iCAN parent from Offaly Mairead Heavin and her husband Kevin this event grew and grew. You could hardly ask for a better venue and the weather was kind, even if the course wasn't. A big turnout was fully appreciative of the organisation that went into making this an enjoyable and safe event

Lets go off road.

The Heavin gang this year decided an obstacle course would be a nice idea. With lots of local support from family, friends and the local community they were on a winner from the off. Sponsors started to add their weight to the event and the generosity of local businesses and individuals was tremendous.

Walking, crawling, running, climbing,

This tough course had it all, and not a man women or child escaped the hills the ropes or the water, but everyone had a broad smile on their faces as the atmosphere was one of fun and togetherness. A brilliant day and night was had by everybody who took part or went along to cheer on the runners.

THANK YOU FROM iCAN

The committee and families of iCAN would like to offer a sincere thank you to all the participants, sponsors, supporters and last but not least Mairead and Kevin. This event in terms of fundraising and building awareness of the work iCAN are doing for the greater JIA community was HEAVIN sent.
