DUBLIN PRESS EVENT DECEMBER 7th
Ireland’s forgotten “Tiny Tim’s” and their hopes for a pain-free future.Representing all children and young people in Ireland with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis, iCAN Irish Children’s Arthritis Network invites you to a Press Conference on Wednesday, December 7th 2016.
Press Conference Details
Date : Wednesday December 7th 2016
Time: 12 noon
Venue: Buswells Hotel, Molesworth Street, Dublin 2
Speakers:...
• Members of the Pediatric Rheumatology Team at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin
• Two families will detail their personal experience in difficulty of accessing timely care for Juvenile Arthritis
• The conference will be chaired by Wendy Costello, iCAN Chairperson, ENCA (European Network for Children with Arthritis) Chairperson, BSPAR (British Society for Peadiatric and Adolescent Rheumatology) Parent Representative for Ireland
This is an excellent opportunity for Ministers, Senators and TD’s in attendance to hear, first hand, the plight suffered by so many of our nation’s youth and to respond to the concerns and issues raised by the speakers and the families.
This unique child-centered appeal will highlight the on-going detrimental effect on children and families affected by Juvenile Arthritis if the Government continues to underfund Pediatric Rheumatology services in Ireland, which is now at crisis level. The children will be presenting their hopes for a pain-free future in the form of wrapped Christmas gifts to attending Ministers, Senators and TD’s at the gates of Leinster House after the conference.
