HAPPY CHRISTMAS FROM iCAN
HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR
The committee here at iCAN would like to take the opportunity to wish its families, sponsors and supporters a very joyous holiday period. This has been a tremendous year for us with iCAN going from strength to strength. All the hard work pays off when the family days and water activity days go well and the feedback from our members is so positive.
iCAN IS ITS MEMBERS.
The children, parents and their families are what make iCAN so special. Over the past year we have had brilliant fundraising efforts going on all around the country. not just raising funds, but more importantly raising awareness of j.i.a and the work of iCAN. From coffee mornings in peoples homes, clubs and pubs to people holding book sales and cake sales the support has been amazing. We had huge turnouts for 10kms, half marathons, marathons and mud runs with members wearing the iconic iCAN green tees while pounding the streets. We had people swimming rivers and climbing mountains, so it was really river deep, mountain high in the collective goal to support us. We had music festivals and pub quizzes and allsorts. These amazing efforts are so greatly appreciated by the committee. Also our children and parents put themselves to great lengths to raise awareness of juvenile arthritis and iCANs work, freely giving of their time to give newspaper, radio and television interviews. So brave to tell their stories, so that others will learn of this hidden condition.
Thank you to our sponsors
Throughout the year we have benefitted from very generous sponsorship from the families of members, the public and many in the business community. From simply taking a card to work or making an online sponsorship to companies and their employees getting behind us to sponsor lunches and the next batch of iconic green tees.
Thank you all.
As a 100% volunteer run charity it is only with the continued support of the iCAN members and their families can we continue to raise awareness of conditions like juvenile idiopathic arthritis and advocate for the best care our children deserve. We will continue to do our very best to serve our members.
