Shannon Group Employees choose iCAN
iCAN are delighted to announce that they have been picked as a charity partner for 2016 with the wonderful employees at Shannon Group. This is tremendous news, and will help raise awareness of J.I.A and the work of iCAN throughout Ireland and abroad.

Some local iCAN families attended the official launch at the airport along with families from the other charity partner Abalta, a special needs school based in Galway and doing tremendous work with children with autism. The importance of this was not lost on those in attendance as this will help raise the profile of both causes and also contribute some well needed funds.

Of course this would never have happened without the nomination from one of our iCAN parents Declan Smyth. Chairperson Wendy Costello was quite emotional at the launch, as she knows what exposure like this will mean to a smaller start up charity like iCAN, but also what it will mean to the children and their families that iCAN support. It is also great recognition for the hard working iCAN committee who are 100% volunteer and all parents of children suffering from juvenile idiopathic arthritis and other rheumatologic conditions.
