iCAN AGM 2015

Very successful AGM in Abbeyleix

iCAN held their first official AGM as a charity in Abbeyleix on the 23rd of January. This was a very well attended event, with everyone very pleased with the turnout. The meeting was opened by the Chairperson Wendy Costello, who welcomed people and thanked everyone for making the effort to attend. She then gave a round up of the events of the past twelve months and the plans for 2016. This was a very well received opening address and was rewarded with a warm round of applause. Then we had a few words from Secretary Fianait Mitchell, followed by the Treasurers report. The election of officers was next, with all officers returning in their positions. The meeting was then opened to the floor, and what followed can only be described as a very positive and constructive discussion, with tremendous feedback and new ideas coming from the members in attendance.
